Working on it

Life has been getting in the way of my obsession again. Still, I managed to up my novel's word count 1,000+! Having some issues with plot and with my half-Hebrew language.

Still working on Chapter 11: Building Up and Tearing Down. It's going to be on the long side, and with everything that's going on right now (the good, the bad, the...uh...) it may take me some time to get it online. Fear not! You can be sure I'll announce it!

General Intro to my Fiction

First and foremost, there is my The Legend of Ruach saga. There are five volumes total although I may cut one out. I'm over half-way done with vol 1: Beyond Our Understanding. The Legend of Ruach is an other-world fantasy that focuses on a group of young people chosen, assembled, and summoned by Providence to the fantastical world of Aretz HaRuach (Ruach for short) to protect it. But that is not all. Perhaps the last lines of the Introduction say it best:

Those who are summoned to Aretz HaRuach are given the title Shanah. A Shanah's
mission? Conquer self, achieve unity with other Shanahs, and transform his inner
being to what it should have been... In the Beginning.
In volume one, the Shanahs are assembled and--whether they like it or not--fall into a routine of "fighting the bad guys". That is, until the ancient, mysterious Avi summons them for a mission in England--where they meet a strange (and perhaps disturbed) but beautiful young woman who changes the course of all their lives...forever.

I've been told that this novel is somewhat too deep to undertand--with all the secrets, mystery, etc. If you don't read too quickly (or if you check back in previous chapters sometimes), you should get some ideas. Otherwise, I may just not want you to know yet. :D

I'm really excited about the next volume of this series: Vengeance is Mine. It's about a girl who has everything in life, but, despite how much she loved her brother, she tended to either neglect him or tease him for shying away from the attention of the public. Not until she witnesses his brutal death does she realized the strength of her love...and the power of hate and revenge.

Unwillingly teamed with the Shanahs, Evelyn Thornwood, debutante of one of America's richest families, seeks to avenge her brother's death--killing whoever crosses her. Can the Shanahs bring justice for the Thornwood's mild-mannered heir? Can they reverse the vengeful madness over Evelyn before she herself is killed? Oo! This is my favorite volume of the five!

The other volumes are as follows:

Vol 3: The Future, Their Blood (When the grandchildren of the Shanahs become Shanahs themselves, they realize their grandparents' bedtime tales weren't just tales.)

Vol. 4: Amongst Our Own (Taking place shortly after vol. 3, this story tells of a group of Shanahs whose mission is to protect the human world. This is the one I may cut out.)

Vol. 5: The Time is at Hand (About one hundred years after vol. 1: Every thousand years, Ruach dies and is reborn. Can the Shanahs of that time live through the ordeal?)

The Eden Series takes place in another galaxy, similar to our own. In vol 1: Eden's Heart, Lytra's Blessing, Cameron West, a brilliant, young astronaut, survives the crash of the space shuttle--only to find himself lost and destitute on an unfamiliar planet. When he is rescued by two do-gooders of galactic renown, Samson and Nekoda, he becomes involved in a vortex of crimes which the two are investigating--and all the threads seem to tie together. A crime king; a rebellious "princess"; a blood-thirsty, seductive assassin; a murdered duke--and his wife fleeing for her life & the protection of his miraculous formula: Eden's Heart.

In vol 2: Eden's Soul, Korah's Curse, a planet is harrassed by savage beasts--the more light reflected from the moon, the more vicious the attack. The superstitious people become convinced they are under a curse of werewolves.

Asher, now a young man, goes to Earth to find Moriah West, who is their only hope for the tie to the curse: Eden Korah. Can Moriah, fresh out of high school, face her destiny? Will Eden's body perish in the attempt to free her soul?

Vol 3: Eden's Might: Celanim's Independence. It's Independence Day--and there will be fireworks. The kind designed to kill. The people of Celanim refuse to be under the foot of the galatic system: "Accept us as equals or we shall reject your authority!" Can little Celanim defend itself against the other planets of the galaxy? Even if some of the galactic royalty are on their side? Will the war tear the galaxy apart?

I have recently hatched new ideas for an extraneous Eden series--which I may call the Edenarri Series (Edenarri is the name of the storys' galaxy). The Lady of the Flame (title may change) is about a young Edenarrian aristocrat, Ashyra Kingsley, who witnesses tragic death of her family by a fire. When she comes to suspect the fire was not an accident, she joins a covert operation to get to the truth. Before she solves the mystery of her famly's death, her incognito-agent jobs become famous, and people--good and bad--wonder...who is this "Ashes" who avenges with the flame?

Aside from my novel series, I have some short stories: REAL? was originally a whimsical rant toward myself because I daydream too much--but people like it! *happy* Anyway, it's about a girl who daydreamed one too many times and finds she can't get out--and this dream, while beautiful on the face, is not all knight-in-shining-armor-rescues-damsel-in-distress. Can Liv discern the reality from the dream? The light from the darkness?

Angels from a Train is a romantic comedy about three, young, city girls who come to live and work at a boarding school for girls in a rather old-fashioned town--and find love around the corner.

That's all the summarizing I'll do for now, since these are the stories I'm working on even remotely. Currently, I'm focusing on LR 1 until I get it finished. It's my goal to write and finish a novel. I got bored of short stories.
